Along with the beautiful long summer, evenings comes parties and the need for hostess gifts.
It’s been a couple of years since I reported on whats going on in Bay Head. There have been several new boutiques that have opened up and with them, a wide array of gift options. I had so much fun putting this story together for you.
At Bay Head Cheese Shop and Bottles Too I picked up the ultimate wine bag ($15) with a space for your BH beach badge! Opal and Olive is new this summer and the owner Anthony Grieco has curated a wonderful boutique which made decision making very difficult. In the end I chose a wooden/ceramic bowl with matching salad servers. Allison Feehan got busy and opened both The Coastal Closet- casual clothes for men and women) plus The Coastal Cottage where I picked up a divine sea urchin-like water jug ($30).
Lake Avenue has become a destination because of two sisters. Alexandra Vaga – owner of Source and Tradition and Maie Vaga, owner of Noon Design and Coffee Shop.
Source and Tradition has a gorgeous selection of handmade tableware and is currently working on a new collection for Jean George Vongerichten‘s latest restaurant. Gift options run from $24 – $200. Each year I invest in at least one of her works for art.
Noon design has flour sack tea towels that are silk screened with Maie’s designs make the best gifts (set of two is $36) – make sure you get some for yourself too!
Lastly, Whimsicality has re opened on Lake Avenue and is full of stylish options. I chose a delicious tabacco and patchouli candle ($29.50).
