Welcome Mum- who heads straight into making traditional holiday treats
Mum’s annual visit was nothing short of a whirlwind! Her three weeks of activities included reupholstering my dining chairs and making all the traditional holiday treats that make our season. Christmas cake- the holiday pudding (you’d call it fruitcake- we cover it in marzipan, frosting and naff ornaments), sausage rolls and mince pies. We’re all set!
A proper thank-you
As a “thank you” to mum for all her hard work we had a girl’s day out. That included shopping therapy at Century 21 as well as the new Westfield Mall at the World Trade Center site. It is a stunning architectual feat and well worth a visit. For dinner we headed to the new Eataly located in the WTC complex. We had so much fun moving from station to station- wine, burrata and incredible prociutto at the bar. Later on we tried the fish restaurant for dinner. Tuesday is Bocce ball night- so much fun for a cold winter’s night whether with friends or on a date!
