The tree is up, mince pies and sausage rolls made and we have eaten most of our Christmas cake already. Traditional English Christmas food is rather heavy but I seem to have the girls trained to eat it all despite being only 8 and 9 years old. Mac’s shot of the girls in the left and mine on the right are from slightly different view points!
Along with several friends, I help to run a Girl Scout troop and last Friday we visited ‘In Jesus Name’, Our Lady of Grace Church Parish Center in Hoboken. We explained that there are many people less fortunate that them and they were eager to help. These busy little elves wrapped hats and gloves for The Hoboken Homeless Shelter, sorted supplies in the food pantry and matched the wrapped gifts that they had brought with the name of a child in Hoboken that could otherwise go without this Christmas.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year in 2011.
