Saturday August 11th Leap over a tall building to get to Rahway Comic-Con (Rahway, NJ 10:00 AM to 4:00) Rah-Con will be returning to Rahway bringing you Super Heroes, Comics, Non-Sport Cards, Toys, Anime, Comic Art, Crafts, Cosplay, Collectibles and so much MORE! Enjoy great guest Artists, Writers and Creators from the comic industry and independent works will attend as well as the 501st Star Wars Legion and the Devaron Base Rebel Legion battling it out for take over of the Galaxy…who will win??Also appearing will be the Saber Guild Corellia Temple and they will be giving lessons to Adults and kids on how to be a Jedi as well as performing a light saber battle show. Admission $3.00

Saturday August 11th All that is Jazz can be found at the Montclair Jazz Fest (Montclair. NJ 12:00 PM-9:00 PM) This rain or shine event hosts more than 100 amazing performers, including headliners and award-winning group Jazz House Kids. Come for the music, the family activities, food concessions, and a beer tent for parents. Tickets $15 in advance $20 at the event

Saturday and Sunday August 11th and 12th Spend the Day down on the farm at the famous  Stone Barns Center  (Pocantico Hills, NY 10:00 AM-5:00 PM)   Enjoy seasonal farm activities from meeting pigs and bees to collecting eggs. Sample activities include:

Saturday and Sunday August 11th and 12th Flit over to the  2018 Butterfly House at the Tenafly Nature Center (Tenafly, NJ 11:00AM-3:00 PM)  Try to catch one on your finger or watch a butterfly emerge from a cocoon. Admission $5

Saturday and Sunday August 11th and 12th Gelato Festival is coming to Liberty State Park! (Jersey City, NJ 12:00 PM-7:00 PM) Gelato Festival World Masters is the most important event dedicated to Artisan Italian Gelato. It is a challenge of Gelato Chefs that recognizes the greatest flavors through competition. During the course of the next 3 years, 5 thousand Gelato Chefs from all over the world, will be competing against one another for a chance to participate in the 2021 grand finals in Italy. Only the best 36 gelato chefs will remain to battle for the title of Gelato Festival World Master. Admission $20-$30 and includes 1 taste of each flavor, voting rights, admission to gelato school and participation in all events and activities.

Saturday and Sunday August 11th and 12th Treat yourself to an assortment of peach indulgences including ice cream, cakes, pastries and other sweet treats at Alstede Farms! (Chester, NJ 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM)  Head out and pick your own white, yellow and donut peaches as well as nectarines. Children can also enjoy pony rides, playing in the corn kingdom, moon bounce, wagon train rides, and tractor drawn scenic wagon rides. Reserve for breakfast from 8:30-12 and enjoy stacks of pancakes smothered with a homemade peach topping in an all-you-can-eat breakfast extravaganza also featuring sausage, eggs, bacon, country potatoes and beverages. Breakfast includes admission to pick-your-own and tractor drawn wagon rides.

Saturday and Sunday August 11th and 12th No Strings! The International Puppet Fringe Festival comes to NYC for the first time to the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center. 19 shows over 2 days including performances from the US, France, Puerto Rico and Canada. Show admission varies and includes FREE performances daily.
