After watching Mac ride over the finish line on his week-long ride to raise money for AIDS LifeCycle, one of the highlights of our summer was visiting the Getty Center in Los Angeles.
What an experience!
The Getty Center in Los Angeles presents the Getty’s collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and gorgeous views. The garage is at the bottom of the hill and a train takes you on a breathtaking scenic trip to the museum . It is barely necessary to enter the buildings — the architecture and gardens are outstanding From bougainvillea to huge cactus, the gardens are a treat for anyone with green thumbs.

The food was also fantastic – we sat on a lawn overlooking the maze with gourmet sandwiches and bottle of wine.
The exhibitions are not so bad either! Well worth the trip if you are in the area.
