Super Mum Linda Laymon

I met Linda Laymon about five years ago. Married with two beau­ti­ful boys, she owned and ran a children’s bou­tique in Bay Head, New Jersey called Gigglefish. I was impressed with her store and won­dered if I could cre­ate a part­ner­ship between her and our stu­dio. I left a mes­sage at the store not expect­ing to hear back from her. Amazingly she called me back, explain­ing that she had been in sales and knew what it was like on the other side! This was first of many things that impressed me about this woman.

Her story goes like this.…after 15 years in tele­vi­sion and a sec­ond child on the way she relo­cated to Bay Head from New York look­ing for a qui­eter life. She opened her fab­u­lous children’s store and as her expe­ri­ence in the cloth­ing indus­try grew, moved on to become a per­sonal wardrobe styl­ist for adults. Deciding this was her future career, Linda closed Gigglefish and went back to school. Additional train­ing at FIT, NY Image Institute and the Global Imaging Group helped to hone her skills and build her client base.

Along with per­sonal styling she now works as an Area Development Manager for a fab­u­lously fun, lush line of women’s cloth­ing, called ETCETERA. Purchasing clothes from or with her is so much fun, she has a unique style and likes to move you into a ter­ri­tory that you may not be so com­fort­able with at first but will thank her for after!

Our busi­ness rela­tion­ship has been a great suc­cess — she intro­duced Hartshorn Portraiture into the Bay Head area. We have shot her gor­geous fam­ily sev­eral times and we look for­ward to spend­ing time with “our sum­mer friends” every year when we return in Bay Head.
