Saturday, April 29 10 am to 6 pm 43rd Annual New Jersey Folk Festival , on the Grounds of the Eagleton Institute on Douglass Campus at Rutgers University – New Brunswick, \showcasing Turkish Traditions and featuring the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation. There will be live music and dance performances, an astounding array of crafts and food vendors, children’s activities & games, and heritage demonstrations.

Saturday, April 29 10 am Sing-along celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Disney classic Aladdin with Brad Kane, the singing voice of Aladdin, for a special performance of a soundtrack favorite before the free screening of the movie. Part of ESPN’s sponsorship of the Tribeca Film Festival Stuff to DO this weekend 4/29 & 4/30

Saturday April 29, 2017  9 am– 3 p.m8th Annual Roebling Museum Car Show.This event welcomes all car years, makes & models, foreign & domestic, including “Rat Rods.” More than 50 Awards with trophies. Music by Tom “E” Tunes. “Corvette” is our “Featured Marque” for 2017. Award for Best Corvette. Food and merchandise vendors as well.

Saturday, April 29 & Sunday, April 30  10 am to 6 pm Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Festival) at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens  One of the top three cherry blossom festivals in the US (after San Francisco and DC) Sakura Matsuri offers over 60 events and performances including traditional Japanese crafts, music and dance as well as anime and cosplay parades `that celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. Sunday, April 30  10 am to 6 pm Free Ice Cream Day at Alstede Farms we love this farm stand with its homemade pies and ice cream- especially FREE ice cream. In addition to the farmstand you can enjoy their animal petting zoo and park. Gardening fans can also get started on their summer gardens with a gorgeous selection of flower and vegetable plants
