Photographer Mac Hartshorn is based at Bay Head, New Jersey during the summer and will travel to your beach house or favorite stretch of sand along the Jersey Shore for your portrait session. Mac will also travel, by appointment, to locations in the Hamptons during August.

Beach photo sessions are scheduled for two hours and take place early each day before the sun gets too bright or after five o’clock when the sun starts to drop in the sky. We aim to catch your family amidst that golden morning glow or the rosy evening light on empty sands. Getting the family out of bed early or keeping them up a little later is worth the effort when you see the rich glowing results.

Preparing For Your Beach Photo-Shoot:
- Co-ordination is cool, matching is not.
- Keep clothing simple, avoiding large logos or patterns; white, denim and khaki work well.
- Girls and moms in summer dresses, baring arms, legs, neck and shoulders look great.
- Boys and dads in shorts, polos, button-down shirts, khakis, jeans, etc.
- Leave costume jewelry at home.
- Natural makeup and hair.
- Sun block for all.
- Moisturize hands and feet, check nails are trimmed.
- Bring water for re-hydrating between shots.
