The French have wonderful “brocantes” which are yard sales on steroids. Entire villages fill with sellers — we wandered around the town wishing we had crates to ship back all the wonderful pieces we found. Alabaster lamps, copper pots, china, silver and furniture.
We took a day trip to the medieval town of Troyes which is the capital of the Champagne region. We got lost in this delightful town with high narrow streets with timber framed houses.
