Mum and I took trip to Sydney for a couple of days. Family friends, John and Georgie picked us up from the airport and took us on a three day whirlwind tour of the sites of this beautiful city.

There is very efficient ferry system that travels between the harbors and it was such a high to see the Opera House and bridge come into view as the ferry arrived in Sydney Harbor.
Sydney is unusual in that the city put aside land that could not be developed about 25 miles outside the city center.
Tomorrow, for our final “Australia Week” post, we’ll drive through bush country to arrive at our host’s home, built into the side of hill with a view of the tiny bay called Pittwater.
