Megan Carnahan: Luxe Face & Body

I meet so many ener­gized and cre­ative mums that I have decided to start a reg­u­lar blog about these fan­tas­tic women.

Megan Carnahan is one such lady. Tucked away on First Street in Hoboken, Luxe Face & Body is a beauty junkie’s par­adise. Inside you will find a col­lec­tion of indie and niche beauty and acces­sory brands. As the owner of Luxe, this mother of two year old Dylan is always on the hunt for new, inde­pen­dent lines. Every sin­gle item is tried and tested by the prod­uct savvy staff. At Luxe, it is not about trends; it’s about qual­ity. “I truly believe in the prod­ucts we carry; they’re part of my every­day reg­i­men.” Explains Carnahan.

When she became preg­nant two and half years ago, she sought out more nat­ural and organic prod­ucts. And It is these lines that became the focus of this mod­ern apothe­cary bou­tique. “I knew I could find healthy alter­na­tives with­out sac­ri­fic­ing glam­our,” states this makeup artist and mother. Brands such as Suki, Juara, W3LL People, Karma Organics, Nuxe, Baby Bear Shop, Ecoya and Alison Raffaele are some of the nat­ural and organic lines you will find at Luxe.

I reg­u­larly shop at her store to stock up and dur­ing a make over Megan set me up with sim­ple make up rou­tine. After years of being scared of eye­shad­ows, I now embrace and have fun with them and love using the organic skin lines, Suki Lemongrass Cleaner is addic­tive! If you visit you will notice the say­ing she has in her store; “She believed she could so she did”, very sim­ple and pro­found, I plan to share it with my girls! One more thing.… I have to men­tion her win­dows which change with the seasons…so styl­ish and creative.
