Hartshorn Portraiture is committed to giving back to our community and improving the lives of others through Mac’s artwork and our charitable giving.
In September we got involved in “Lock up on the Hudson” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
‘Lock up on Hudson’ is a fund-raising initiative involving MDA, our local police precinct and local business owners who were ‘arrested and bailed’ at 10th and Willow Bar and Grill for the charity.

Mac in handcuffs!
On Tuesday, September 21st, two very charming policemen donated their time to stop by our studio to “arrest” Mac! (I personally requested that he be handcuffed for the trip down to the squad car!) He was promptly delivered to “10th and Willow”, plied with food and drinks and detained with other business owners in the area also involved in this worthy cause. Bail to free our leaders of business was set at $1600 each.
Thanks (once again) to your generosity, we were able to raise $1900 prior to the event for Mac’s ‘bail’! Happily he arrived back safe and sound, sans handcuffs, at the studio later that day!
Our heartfelt thanks to all who ordered Holiday Cards and donated to this worthy charity.
