Project Play is an HFA Initiative to Improve Hoboken Parks
After enjoying a fun filled playdate at the new playground at Liberty State Park, Zabrina Stoffel and Regina Gannon had an idea. Why didn’t Hoboken have such a park? Both moms spent many days at Church Square Park and thought Hoboken should enjoy the same type of safe playground.
Gannon and Stoffel approached the City of Hoboken with their concept. Jennifer Maier, Director of Environmental Services met them with open arms. A green light was given to solicit draft proposals. They learned about the latest in playground design including environmentally-sustainable building materials.
So in October 2009, The HFA launched Project Play. With the support of individuals, businesses, and foundations and the constant hard work of Zabrina and Regina, Project Play has raised over $35,000 already.

Zabrina and Regina announced with their plan to raise $50,000 by the end of 2010 for Project Play with EatDrinkHoboken.com
As a business and as a community team player, EDH decided to team up with Project Play to help raise much needed funds to support the Church Square Park initiative to replace old equipment with new eco-friendly equipment.
The fundraising concept – created by founder and entrepreneur David Liebler – is unique. Specially designed VIP cards have been created and 10,000 will be sold to Hoboken based businesses for $5.00 each. The goal is to raise $50,000 from October 1st through December 31st, 2010.
The participating businesses will have a myriad of discounts available, such as 5 to 50 % off. A complete list of participants can be found on this page at EatDrinkHoboken.com. 100% of the funds collected will be donated to Project Play.
