I do worry about the chemicals in the sunscreen. Sunscreen that rubbed off onto the woodwork on my mum’s boat ate into the varnish and this made me wonder what it was doing to our children’s skin!
For years I brought back sunscreens with Mexoryl from Europe — who still have the best options. But a few years ago the USA made changes to their rules which has helped the selection available to us here.
I try to use organic sunscreens as much as possible and there is a wide selection. Some of the organic sunscreen options are hard to spread on the skin, you have to try a few products to find your favorite.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios with Mexoryl SX is from Europe, sold in most US pharmacies, has very little chemicals and is my choice. Alba Botanica along with Yes to Carrots both have great sunscreen which are organic, go on smoothly and can usually be found at Target.
