Christmas in July: It’s Later than You Think

by & filed under Portraiture.

Christmas in JulyThis post always feels a bit awkward, its the height of summer- almost exactly mid-way between the first and last day of school and you’re just developing that nice summer glow. And then I bring up Christmas cards. I realize there is a bit of a disconnect between sand and tinsel but hear me out.

You want to take your holiday card photos now (unless you are a dedicated Autumn- read our article on when to schedule your session).

In addition to the fact that September and October are madness for mums with back to school, back to jobs and bye-bye casual Friday, our studio will also be extraordinarily busy doing sessions and processing images from all of our summer beach sessions. Scheduling a family session in July or August also means you can  schedule your presentation, AND also order your holiday cards. Win. Win. Win.

And then there’s a best part. Better than not having to think again about holiday cards until it’s time to buy stamp? Yup. Our holiday cards are from the amazing and wonderful Wiley and Company. We chose them because their printing was spot-on, their papers were among the most beautiful and their envelopes have a wondrous range of colors and designs that just stand out. The designers at Wiley have also allowed me to design several cards that are exclusively ours. We should be receiving this year’s designs in the next few weeks but have a look at our 2017 collection.

Despite soaring temperatures and tan lines, the holidays are closer than you think. Consider booking your session now and enjoy that extra time to yourself in the Fall!
