With the warmer weather comes thoughts of fresh fruits and vegetables. If you have ever considered getting involved in CSA now is the time. We finally broke and got our girls phones for Christmas and soon after our daughter Cameron got hooked on Instagram. Not good news as far as I was concerned but then she surprised me one day by baking Nutella brownie in a mug a recipe that she found while checking her feed. It’s simple and tasty but if you want something… Read more »

What’s blooming?

Posted by & filed under Be Inspired, Our Favorite Things, Portraiture.

I wish I had time to visit every garden in the area! What a treat to see them in full bloom. I love strolling through blossoming flowers, their fresh scent floating in the air mixed with the crispness of the Spring breeze. The Cloisters and Wave Hill are two areas that have been on my list to explore…… Read more »

It does the soul good to get outside and work in the garden– my soul at least! I planted a few containers over the weekend and tried something different this year. Instead of planting bulbs I chose Ranunculus, Primroses and Pansies in a variety of colors– they last longer than bulbs and look spectacular.

Roast Lamb Done Right

Posted by & filed under Be Inspired, Our Favorite Things, Recipes.

You may remember our dear friend, Julie Wood, who was the HP Studio Manager a few years ago. She hails from New Zealand and was kind enough to educate me on how to prepare and cook roast lamb. She never gave me written instructions but I found a similar delicious recipe online…perfect for Easter Sunday dinner.
