The invi­ta­tion to emcee the Duck Race was extended to Julie’s hus­band Pip. Mac and Jennifer spon­sored a raf­fle prize and set up a tent along with other local artists and crafts peo­ple. We all pur­chased cute rub­ber duck­ies and watched as they raced down the ditch on the out­go­ing tide. The local com­mu­nity came out in force to sup­port the Bay Head School fundrais­ing event and when the race was won, took home some great prizes. The event had the feel of a vil­lage fair com­plete with face paint­ing and ice cream truck much to the delight of all the children.
