A Trip to Stone Barns

Mac and I have been able to tick several things of our family “to do” list this year and a trip Stone Barns was high priority for 2010.
It worth the wait! We invited one of the first “Hartshorn Portraiture” clients and now friend Thomas Petito, a talented wine maker and his children to join us.

The Petitos at Stone BarnThe farmers market was open that afternoon with delicious vegetables, freshly baked pies and organic meats which are all farmed on the property.

On site is a café and also an amazing restaurant that we highly recommend. There is the option of five or eight courses with dishes selected by the chef dependent on what is fresh from the farm that day. You can pre book online for your children to experience collecting eggs, milking cows and the Center hosts many other events.
